Hi All

Hi all
It's me Max - as Daddy said I am getting bigger by the minute and
having fun doing it! Mommy has been taking me out more and more - this picture was taken when I went shopping with Mom, Dad and Aunt Di - my first big trip to Costco! We had a thunderstorm that day as well - on March 7 of all days! That was a first for me as well.

This week I have been busy - I went to the pool with Mommy & Grammy - and sat with the lifeguard. I helped her watch everyone & make sure they were safe. Actually I slept most the time - cause it was kind of boring! Some day maybe mommy will let me go in the pool! I like my bath so I guess I would like the great big bath tub!!

Yesterday I went to cousin Matt's baseball game. It was kind of chilly and Aunt Di had me bundled up so I slept most the time. There was a lot of cheering going on and kept waking me up. I woke up long enough to have a bottle, then I decided it was time to go home. Maybe when it is warmer I can stay longer.

My daddy comes home today - I can't wait to see him & tell him all about my week!

10 lbs

Maximus is 10 pounds. Yesterday he was weighed at the Doc's. So he is getting larger. As long as he is growing they won't have to open him back up right away. So for that I am thankful. I have been in Heartford Ill, all week, and am looking forward to going home tomarrow. Grandma Peacock has been with Michele and Max all week, so I am sure Grandpa is looking forward to getting his wife back. :0) She has been a great help. Well, that is all for now. I will try to get another video on when I get a chance.

Over two months have past.

Things have happened so fast. It was only two months ago Maximus was in the hosptial. Lying with his heart exposed. That was a lot to bare. But it to passed. Max is bigger, stronger, and much more aleart. I see him on the weekends, and I feel he has to learn me all over again. That makes me sad. :0( I know he recognises my beard. The other morning, when I had returned from out of state, I got up to see Michele and Maximus lying on the bed. I walked over and kissed Michele, and said hi to Max. He looked so content. He took one look at me and busted out crying. I think I scaired him. I don't know what to do. I know most of you work and spend time away from your children, and that is hard enough. But do any of you spend five days a week away? If so, how do you keep in your new childs memory? I know when he gets older, he will know me, I just don't want him to be afraid of me. You know? It really sucks missing out on the early days of his life. I see him growing so fast, it is like a time worp. I go away on monday, and come home on friday night late. When I get home he looks so much bigger. He is growing fast. Well, I will get of my soap box for the night.

Happy 70th Birthday Grandpa

Tonight was Grandpa Peacock's Birthday. Maximus attended his Grandpa's suprise birthday party. He was able to meet some of his older cousins and people he had not meet. I think the noise was a bit much for him at first. But after a while he mellowed and just let everything sink in. I have not posted photo's like I said yet, but in the morning I will. Up date on Max is, he is doing well. Growing everyday and looking healthy. We gave Grandpa Peacock a half gallon of his favorite scotch for making all those trips to the hospital and giving up his wife for the past couple of months. I am still waiting for peoples ideas for what to do for Grandma Peacock. So when you people get an idea, type it in as a comment. I am willing to take anything into concideration. With in reason of course.;0) Well it is getting late, so I should let you go for now. Thanks everyone, and goodnight.

Hanging out at home

Hi everyone. I know I've been pretty quiet the last few weeks. I have just been enjoying the simple things that most babies get to do right from the start--hanging out at home with Mommy and Daddy, nursing and drinking from a bottle instead of getting my food through a tube, stuff like that.

Daddy mentioned earlier this week that my blood test results finally came back normal. He was talking about a newborn blood screening that had to be repeated twice because the results were inconclusive. It's a test that all newborns have that checks for lots of different things. The test that was concerning my doctor was one that looks for an amino acid disorder. If I had had that disorder, it would have been a major issue. There would have been so many foods I would not be able to eat all my life because my body wouldn't have been able to digest them. I wouldn't even be able to have my Mommy's breast milk! So, Mommy, Daddy, and I were really glad when that test finally came back normal on the third try! (I was also glad that I don't have to get poked for blood again for awhile. That was getting old!)

The other good news--that I am gaining weight at a nice, steady pace and am now over 8 pounds--was also exciting to hear. You see, it's important for me to continue to gain weight so that I can put off any more surgeries until I'm 2 or 3 years old. If my weight gain is steady, then the doctors know that my heart is working well enough that my body doesn't have to use too many calories just keeping my blood pumping through my veins! It still takes a lot out of me just eating and growing, so I do sleep quite a bit. Mommy is amazed that I'm so regular with waking up every three hours 'round the clock to eat. I'm just like clockwork!

I'm so glad that Daddy is home for the weekend. Mommy and I miss him when he is gone for work. Maybe he will be able to post some recent pictures of me this weekend. I know people want to see how I've grown!

Just a little update

Good evening everyone,

Maximus had his blood test results today. He is normal, at least his blood is anyhow.:0) Grandma Peacock had to go home today. Her and Grandpa are going to Fort Lauderdale for a vacation. I think Grandma will miss Maximus allot. She has been able to spend more time with him than I have. Every day, except the weekends when I was able to be home. She has been there everyday he was in the Hospital. For that I am greatful. I need some ideas from you for something special I can do to show her how I apreciate what she has done. I truly lucked out when I married into her family, they are very loveing, and careing people. Those of you who know her family, know exactly what I mean.

March is here

Today Maximus was weighed, and he is 8 pounds, 4 ounces. So he is making good progress for his age, and issues. Aunt Di was over saturday, and Max enjoyed her company, and no, she didn't break anything this time. ;0) At this pace, he sould be able to take visitors soon. Just give Michele a call, and set up some time. She is as busy as a new mother can be, so I am sure as much notice as you can give would be apreciated. I see this blogg has not been updated in a while. I am on the road, right now I am in Nashville Tenn. This will be the busy time for me comeing up. Next week it is off to chicago, then wisconson, then south caralina, north caralina, ect. So for the next few months, I will only be seeing my son on the weekends. So I am sure Michele could use the adult conversation from her friends, and family. Thank you all for watching the blogg, and sorry for not keeping it up dated more. My computer was on the blink the last couple of weeks. I will try to get some new photo's of Max when I get home this weekend.
